About

Jeni Brown is a contemporary artist living on Anglesey, North Wales, with a studio in the heart of the island. She is a fine artist, working on a variety of scales and media. She places great emphasis on connection and emotion in her work. Colour as expression is seen in her work, which includes evocative paintings rooted in the surrounding Anglesey land. Materials and media are used as part of her expression, such as the Anglesey clay used in ‘Invisible Souls’ – Llangoed Sculpture Trail and ‘Found Souls’ – Barga, Tuscany, evoking the journey of migrating people.

Growing up in Cheshire, Brown went on to study at University of Exeter for her formal training.  There followed a long and happy career teaching in both secondary and further education whilst exhibiting her work and accepting commissions.  She has exhibited in Manchester and Bangor Cathedrals, Ucheldre Centre, Anglesey, Installation piece Barga, Tuscany.  Quattro Archi Gallery in Tuscany.  Sculpture trail, Llangoed, Anglesey.  Art from the unseen, Beaumaris.

Her work is in private collections in Milan, Barga, England, Cayman Islands, Anglesey, Gwynedd, Bologna
